Just to chirp in.....

 

When you draft well and supplement your free agency correctly, it doesn't all have to come down to the one Quarterback pick.  You build your roster to best support the position but if/when that one player can't do it, you find someone better.  I'm not saying it will be a major disappointment if the pick doesn't work out.  I am saying that this management structure isn't throwing everything in to being smarter than the rest.

 

I think Gene ignored the strengths of the draft class and went his way.  Caldwell has proven patient and has used Free Agency to free his draft selections to favor the value of the strength in the draft.  Deep wider receiver draft class and Caldwell leveraged the strength.  The team is better for the strength of this year's represented talent.
