Early Roster Cuts: Rackley, Ebert gone
|
Quote:For a team that is flush with cap space, I'm thinking the move to beat him to a contract negotiation would be silly. Cross that bridge when we get there. In the meantime, you trot him out there and demand a certain level of production. In the end, if he delivers, he'll get paid. If the Jags already didn't have the numbers at WR, I wouldn't be suggesting it. I see them keepting 5 WR on the 53 man roster. Lee and Robinson are likely here, same with Doss as they just signed him, that leaves likely 2 spots. Sanders is very likely to get one of those, so thats 4....one left.....in which Brown, Copeland and Shorts will be vying for the spot. If Copeland or Brown show anything close to what Shorts is, I think they move Shorts, with the expiring contract in mind. ANd I didn't even mention Blackmon...and if they get some good news on his future between now and then. |
