I'm sure we all know it is a work in progress EricC85 is just explaining how the defense isn't playing well either even with the attention the defense received this off season. We are looking for some sort of consistent play from one of the units on the team. There isn't one. That's all he is trying to say. 

 

The attention the defense received. I'm guessing that you don't know how a rebuild works, either. The attention they received came through the draft. The "attention" it received involved letting go of some veterans. 

 

If you expected consistency from a defense that is playing a ton of rookies...well, you don't know much about football and you should probably talk to your wife before posting on the forum.
