You're mixing off the field activities with distractions. Is it a distraction when Peyton Manning is doing a new commercial, Nate Kaeding is buying a new restaurant (I had to look that up) or when Derrek Thomas was having another illegitimate child? The fact that they are/were top of their fields says not.

 

All about football means putting 100% in practice, in the weight room and the film room and not letting outside distractions have an affect on your football career. It doesn't mean you sit in a darkened room on your own with no contact with the outside world.

 

Maybe doing a reality show would be a distraction for Sam, I don't know the guy or where his head is at. The number of guys who have allowed cameras into their homes as part of hard knocks who have done well that season suggests that its perfectly possible to do that and be 'all about football'.
