Fire the third coach in as many years and then take a look at what the options are for finding a worthy replacement.

 

No coach is going to come to an organization that won't allow enough time to allow for a team to at least try to turn things around.

 

Bradley's job is secure for the next couple of seasons, even if they go 0-16 this year. 

 

The front office blew this roster up this year, so not only did they inherit a bad team, but they gutted what they had to begin with.  I'm fairly certain the expectations were that this would be a pretty ugly season among the brain trust in the organization.  Caldwell hired him, and he's going to let this develop.

 

If the team doesn't show significant improvement in year 2, then you have to question whether Bradley has the ability to turn things around.  But, you then also need to question whether Caldwell was the right guy to rebuild the team to begin with.  In both cases, this season was a throw away.  That doesn't mean they're okay with tanking the season, but I think they recognized just how bad things were, and the decision was made to make the big moves this year to try to get things back on the right track quickly. 

 

This approach requires patience this year because it's not going to get better in 2013.
