If Sam lets it distract him from football, then he isn't 100% focused on football and he is more likely to fail, just like the guy who is distracted with worry about his sick mother, or the guy distracted by his messy divorce, or the guy who is distracted by his addiction to pain killers.

 

If he doesn't let it distract him, he will be like 95% of the rest of the league who have busy, messy, complicated lives off the field and who get on with it.

 

Filming a whole preseason or having cameras around all the time isnt jut affecting Michael Sam.

 

Rookies have a role on a team.  They do the brunt work.  It's been that way in high school, college, pros....He needs to take his lumps and make the team just like every other rookie.  Next I'm going to hear how that shouldn't be allowed.
