The main point is, you cant punish people that work for you for things that seem to be much more mundane....and then not police yourselves.  It's a double standard, and when the next collective bargaining agreement comes up, I would make my case for it.

 

I fully expect Goodell to take action, but he's in a somewhat unique situation. As stated above the Mathis situation is cut and dried, as are most of the player misconduct issues. This one is a little different and I'm guessing Goodell is trying to arrive at some consensus with the other owners.

 

What's the rush? This issue doesn't affect the competitive balance of teams, etc. And it's setting a precedent. So I think we need to be patient.

 

I know we like to rag on Goodell and this situation gets Ryan Clark some air time but I think we'll hear something fairly soon.
