I saw both the Who and the Stones in about 1989 on their respective tour-to-end-all-tours.  The Who tried too hard, the Stones not hard enough, but being as they were both already old as hell, I guess they did OK.

 

Rush are great in concert, but I did myself the disservice of seeing them twice in 1987 - once in Charlotte, and again in Jax.  Here's the kicker:  they did the exact same show.  Same songs, same order, same spurious between-song dialogue.  Really tight set, but man, not exactly spontaneous.

 

I, too, found Aerosmith and Metallica underwhelming.
