Logic would indicate that football is a competition.  A lot can change in 4 months.

 

I don't have to stir up controversy to know that there will be one.  Sorry, prepare yourself for fans to call for Bortles.  It's going to happen whether you like it or not.

 

You equate being ready to being better than Henne.  The two are not linked. 

 

Logic would indicate you've got a young, raw, but talented QB who is not expected to have the issues that are impacting his game resolved by opening day.  He'll be improved, but not close to ready.

 

As I've already indicated, there's a segment of our fan base that's not terribly bright.  These are the same people who were calling for "Jerrard" (demanding a player whose name they couldn't pronounce after he was on the roster for 5 years), firing Tom Coughlin, and a host of other things over the years.  I have low expectations for that crowd.  Fortunately, they're a vocal minority.
