Not fixing his fundamentals eliminates all hopes of winning a Championship.  He's not going to be a Championship caliber QB until he fixes his accuracy through reworking his footwork and his throwing mechanics.   That's the goal.  To have a Championship caliber QB in 2015 and beyond.  Not to have a really cool Preseason Week 3 experience.  

 

 Starting NFL QBs have to put in 60-70 hours a week gameplanning and preparing for every week's opponent.   They'e not worried about footwork.   They have 52 teammates who are solely focused on winning this week's game, so that should be their sole focus.    Not whether they are setting up their base too wide on a 5 step drop.

 

 

Thus the reason why the organization is sitting him.
