Gus Lays To Rest Any Thought Of QB Controversy

(This post was last modified: 05-29-2014, 10:26 PM by NOIS.)

This isn't about Henne. He is who we and he knows him to be. Could he win us games with the right dynamics around him? Yes and they may be in place. But why draft Bortles #3 if you thought henne was the answer this season? or pay him back up money? Caldwell and company are selling this whole "hes competing with himself" to get better results, but Bortles already has revealed on draft day hes gunning for the starting job. Its pretty clear he has more mental toughness than our previous rookie QB's drafted. I still think Gus' motto is at play here (whether spoken or not). If Bortles beats out Henne this preseason, he'll start week 1 in time to get ready for the home opener (and hopefully battle hardened on the road and ready to rock the new scoreboards and all black).

No one is safe.
