Regarding Tyler though....(unlike Robert Plant), he was able to keep alot of his "range" even when he got way older. He was still hitting that Dream On note as of a few years ago...and what - he's in his 60's now?? Robert Plant couldn't hit some of the notes required in some of the older Zeppelin stuff as early as the later 80's and early 90's. (when he'd attempt those songs, either with Plant/ Page or solo concerts. 
 

The thing with Tyler that I saw was not so much his ability to keep his "range", it was his lack of ability to reach the correct tone.  The band itself performed well, I guess it was Tyler's performance that really sucked.
