Blake Bortles impressing Jaguars with his study habits

He was atrocious.  Yes, the other reasons you listed are legitimate, he was young, inexperienced, had the lockout, didn't have many weapons - but he was atrocious.

His 2nd year he had a few games where you had a glimmer of hope, but they also were pretty few in number, while his main weaknesses all remained the same.

Yeah he was pretty bad, but as I remember it most people at the time (fans, media, front office) had given him a pass and actually praised him given what he was working with at the time. Of course we all know how it panned out, but I think the consensus was that he was doing OK (post rookie season).

LEONARD FOURNETTE FAN CLUB PRESIDENT. I WAS BEHIND HIM WHEN YOU ALL SAID HE WAS BRANDON JACOBS. QUIT HATING ON THE JAGUARS. GUS IS GONE. COUGHLIN HAS RESTORED ORDER. FOURNETTE IS FRED TAYLOR. DONT BELIEVE ME JUST WATCH.
