Bands that are good in studio, but suck live

Quote:Meh, I guess.... In my VERY early career what I did had a lot to do with sound, tone, pitch, etc. I saw many bands/singers live and even ran the board for some of them. Some acts sounded like you were listening to the album, and some were horrible. An example that I'll give, I saw ZZ Top play in a bar around 1987 or so. In fact, at the time I was on the sound crew and ran the board. They sounded freakin' awesome and put on a great show. I've seen them live recently, and though the sound isn't as good as it was back then, they still put on a fantastic show. There are 10 kinds of people in this world.
