How far can Bortles develop without playing ?

I do question how much better someone can get by sitting on the bench.
Hopefully it takes half a year to get the mechanics improved enough for him to be deemed "ready enough" and he gets at least 4 games of regular season play to build upon for next year. I don't want him starting 2015 and for the first time see live bullets flying in the NFL.
