I'm not into conspiracy theories - I still think there's a real issue between Bradley and Scobee. But, playing the thread out, it isn't without precedent.

Janikowski was 17th overall. The Saints took a kicker, Russell Erxleben, with the 11th pick a ways back.

So long as JDR doesn't give the Jags some tips after next weekend (obviously he wouldn't beforehand) causing a turn around in this season, and assuming this Scobee-Bradley cabal is real (I'm pretty skeptical myself), it's still really tough to see taking a kicker at #1. BUT, I could see trading down to, say, 17 while getting a second round pick, to boot. An extra early round draft pick and a handpicked successor Scobee can groom for the future? Yes, please.
