The Easter Show being booked on the usual date to me doesn't indicate that the Easter Show just happened to book it first... the NFL let that happen.  

 

Basically, the NFL can host the draft wherever and whenever they want.  An freakin Easter Show is not going to postpone the plans of a multi billion dollar business.

 

It might be Dolan being a doofus - but I think it was a calculated move by the NFL to move it back a few weeks.

 

They gave the Easter Show excuse to make it seems less conspicuous.

 

I'll give you one thing - I don't know much about Dolan.  Is he that much of a screw-up (before I do my quick google search)?

 

  I don't think it was the NFL's intentions to move back the NFL Draft two weeks.   But I do agree with you that they took advantage of the opportunity that was presented.

 

  James Dolan runs MSG,  RCMH,  and Cablevision.   All one needs to know about Dolan is the plight of the Knicks in the new century.   It's hard to imagine a franchise in the largest market in the country being run more inefficiently and ineffectively.   The only reason the Rangers turned things around is the type of NHL salary cap that was implemented following the 2004-05 lockout that wiped out the entire season.  Before that,  the Dolan led organization spent as much money as any team on players but the results were the team consistently ( 7 straight seasons ) didn't make the playoffs in a league that more than half of the teams qualify for the playoffs.
