Sanders has 1 season under his belt, 51 receptions, and under 500 yards receiving.

The best point you make above is the Harris point. 

 

Sanders only having one season with that level of production isn't likely to be seen as a "detriment" for any team that would trade for him. Almost the opposite. A cheap 2nd year player with 2 more years on his deal. Which also ties in to a negative on Thomas above - The Jags had given Thomas a pay raise to that point, which by the time of the trade was clearly seen as an overpayment....and we still netted that 5th rounder...
