It doesn't help that people don't understand where the funding comes from for projects like this one.  I always love the comments saying that money could have gone toward schools or libraries or some other noteworthy cause.  They simply don't understand that the money being spent is specifically designated for the sports complex.  There's a bed tax that funds all maintenance at the stadium, baseball grounds, and arena. 

 

I also enjoy the comments from people who are supposedly locals who use the tired old line that it's pointless to spend all of this money on a team nobody cares about, and whose owner is going to move them to LA or London in a couple of years anyway. 

 

The ignorant masses. Their lack of being informed is a good reason for a lot of the woes we face today.
