Is Shorts was in the same position, do you think the team would take a similar stance? My belief is no because talent wise, Blackmon is better, which goes to the point that you want to eliminate any perception of creating favoritism. 

 

But there is favoratism.....

 

Go back to the Jimmy Johnson Cowboys days...guys with the talent of Michael Irvin, Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith amongst others, simply DID get the advantage of favoratism by the coaches. Jimmy himself admitted this. Its just the way it is. They went on to win back to back superbowls. The perception of "favoratism" didn't hurt that locker room. You're never going to have a "complete equal" locker room in that realm. Blackmon's talent will buy him more chances than others, and thats just the way it is.
