I'm about ready to start a petition against Old Bay seasoning. I think it's the chemical reaction that happens when Old Bay particles enter the mucus membrane and shorts out receptors that are vital for rational thinking. 

 

Here's the way I think it went down..

 

Jameis was simply minding his own business when shopping for his ill grandmother like any good kid would. You know, chicken noodle soup, maybe some laxatives, nyquil ect.. And when upon entering the Publix establishment, particles of Old Bay seasoning were already wafting through the air because of Publix's strong AC units which can blow from the back of the store to the front. Upon entering Jamies' system, the Old Bay started to already cake the walls of his lungs, quickly soaking into the blood stream and right up into the brain. Forcing Jameis to avoid the soup, laxative and nyquil isles and head directly for the seafood department. Once Jameis received The Precious, he did what any human being would do when under control of Old Bay seasoning and preceded towards the nearest exit without thinking.
