While theres still a chance that he makes it back, you keep him. No harm is done. 

 

The upside is too great to just cut loose. 

 

The Jags would be fools to just cut him loose before anything such as a lifetime NFL ban. 

 

Why give an apponent the opportunity to get a player with that level of upside for free?
