Gus Bradley started Gabbert at the beggining of the season and later sat him for Henne. Of course he was going to say as to why. Denard was a late round rookie former QB, coaches are always going to talk about that kind of player needing to improve, along with a 7th round draft pick, ala Storm Johnson.
