Russell Allen has quietly put together a solid year and is now the highest rated 4-3 outside linebacker (+3.5 overall on the year). He was particularly stout in coverage this week allowing only 6 yards on 3 receptions.

Anyone else notice Allen make 2 stops behind the line of scrimmage the other day? He really has gotten better every year. He's still just a good back-up on many teams, but he's not a liability like he was when forced into the line-up do to injury. I find it hard not to root for the guy. Would be cool to see him stick around as the #4 LB. ( his cap hit is 2.4 mil next year - only knock against him - thanks Gene)
