Chris Johnson is ok, but he's an all or nothing back.  He is always looking for the big play, not to sustain drives.  There is definitely a good and bad to that.  The Jaguars have pretty much bottled him up in recent memory.

 

Edit:  Wait, am I allowed to say this since I'm just a fan and he makes more money than me?

 

A fan's right to speak has never been challenged and has always remained virtually unfettered.

 

But the fact you are now rhetorically wonder whether you now have the right to speak now that someone acknowledges the player's right to speak quite frankly speaks to a sense of entitlement/superiority.

 

I could see mocking him for his declining performance.  At least one of the analysts derisively calls him "CJ1K."

 

I could see wanting him to shut up if he talked badly about other teams.

 

But unless I have missed something, he hasn't said anything like all of the defenses on our schedule play like panzies...yada yada yada.

 

As I understand it, he is expressing confidence in himself and his team to make it happen.

 

But "shut up and play?"
