The official weightlifting/fitness/exercise thread
|
Started back in October 2013 at just over 300 at 6'0" and have been using Livestrong MyPlate to count calories and exercising daily since then. I am down to about 235-240 right now and have been lifting heavily for the past nearly 3 months. Weight loss has stalled in those three months but I think it may be due to muscle gains offsetting the fat loss on the scale combined with a few cheat vacations. Definitely the most difficult thing I have done, even more difficult than quitting cigarettes. I went from being the fattest person in the room to just run of the mill, typical American in his 30's fat. Working on getting below 200 for the first time since high school.
Recently started intermittent fasting and have noticed that my weight loss has started back up again without losing any strength thus far. Supplement with whey protein, creatine and BCAA's. |
