A TE can't be a stud without a good QB and O-line. Look at the great TEs currently in the game: Jimmy Graham - Drew Brees/good O-line; Tony Gonzalez - Matt Ryan/ok O-line; Antonio Gates - Philip Rivers/good O-line; Greg Olson - Cam Newton/good O-line. See a pattern? Lewis could be a very good TE. Is he an elite TE? Heck no. He needs to catch balls thrown to him more often. However, if we can't run the ball, the pass game suffers. And if our O-line can't give the QB time to throw the ball, how is he supposed to make catches and plays like the amounts of other TEs with the proper help? I don't think he should come out and say things like this when his production hasn't backed the statement up. However, he's not a scrub. He's got talent. He just needs to use it all; but he needs help. Just like the other 10 offensive players on the field......
