Well.... Lewis has been quite good lately and seems well on his way back toward the form he showed in his lone ProBowl season.


His numbers from the bye-week on last season project to 50 catches for 720 yds and 8 TDs on a season. That doesn't match the salary Smith prematurely gave him, but it's good contribution to the offense. I think the time to bash the dude was two years ago and has long since passed.


Apparently it's just too tempting for some to continue the same old song and dance.


If Marcedes stays healthy all season, I fully anticipate 50-60 catches for around 800 yds and 7 TDs or so. That's above average production for a TE. I'd be happy to see it and see no reason why it can't happen.


Will he drop a few seemingly easy catches? Absolutely. He's still Marcedes Lewis, but he displayed a major uptick in that category over his final 7 games last season - and that's encouraging.
