The notion that the team is trying to "build back up his confidence" by lying about his progress makes no sense to me. Why would his confidence need built up? I've never heard this was an issue from anyone associated with the team. Caldwell would been far more active seeking another quality center if this was the case IMO. I'd imagine, and this is just a guess mind you, that his confidence may need to be built up from him getting his tail whipped by every player he's faced since entering the league. |
