I like the idea of States appointing their own senators on a part time basis like it was originally done. Basically the way I see it or would like to see it, you most important election would be your local county, city and state elections. They would then appoint Senators and Representative to represent the States and only report back Washington's intentions and legislation. Eliminate the pay for Federal Representatives it's supposed to be a civil duty not a career choice.

I don't think it's really all that difficult. You can start be overturning citizens united, what a terrible ruling. I know you wont like it but you could have publicly funded campaigns. Or heck even just put a cap on what people running for public office can raise in total not just from single donations, leveling the playing field. Taking the financial gain out of selling out to special interests coupled with actual term limits would go a long way in bringing back true representation.
