You're never going to get rid of the income tax, but you will start to see consumption taxes hitting you in the wallet in slow, almost imperceptible ways. Nobody will complain until it's too late because it's an incremental approach. They way Eric85 was describing it, consumption taxes would be good since they could be applied to people like illegal immigrants who otherwise drain the system. |
