These loopholes people keep opining over are no different than the same loopholes most Americans take advantage of with their taxes.  If you own a house, you've got loopholes covering your taxes and mortgage interest.  You've got loopholes for child care, education, and medical expenses.  You've got loopholes for your 401(k).  You've got loopholes for dependents.  If you own your own business, you've got loopholes for your expenses like fuel and travel.  I think people just hear a word and immediately think it's evil or corrupt.  Corporations aren't doing anything illegal by looking for every possible way to reduce their tax liability just as individuals are not when they make charitable donations to cut their tax liabilities.  Congress talks a good game, but they're not taking any of those loopholes away.
