How often do you watch The NFL Network?
|
The NFL Network sucks now. I want serious, straight to the point game analysis, no jokes, no cutesy dames reading off of cards, no corny mini games, no skits, just straight up football. I want the NFL Network to be like a news network, but with football. Break down plays, in depth analysis of every team by division, not the lollypop garbage it has become.
This is what I would do if I ran that corny network. NFL AM: Okay, we can get a little dopey on this one, it's early in the morning, we can have a little fun. I'd still tone it down a little bit from what they do now. More Football Documenteries (I can't spell it): The younger generation need to know how this all got started. Show the history of teams, the history of the game, how it evolved, how the game transformed into the product it is today. A Football Life: Mix it up a little, show more historic figures as well as a few people who contributed to the game but may not be a house hold name! Team Coverages (I suck at spelling): The league is more then the cowboys, patriots and the 49ers. Stop neglecting small market teams or teams not hyped up in the limelight, how about equal coverage of all 32 teams? Blake Bortles was drafted before Johnny Manziel but you never hear about Blake, or even Bridgewater for crying out loud. Have a show that offers football knowledge: For an example, today in this episode we are going to be talking about the No huddle offense. What is the no huddle offense, and what teams have had success with this system, both past and present? Or, in this episode we are gonna break down the 46 Defense. I like the path to the draft coverage. Show more games both past and present condensed into 90 minutes. More interviews with players, coaches, owners. Do a series about football stadiums, the city that they are in, what to do in these cities for fun leading up to the game, how convenient it is to get to these stadiums, the history of these stadiums, stadium features and tailgating at these stadiums. Do a show about uniforms, featuring one team every week. How did they choose the colors, how did the uniform evolve over the years. Do a show about rivalries, documenting how they started, how the escalated, who won the most, interview players about the rivalry, fan input from rival fans! There is so much this network can do, but they are either lazy or just don't GET IT. They literally have vaults of footage and football stuff sitting there collecting dust. This network SUCKS!
