Quote:While the situation isn't identical (nor did I ever claim it was, btw) , Gordon in no way shape or form should get his suspension reduced. He's been arrested at LEAST 2 times since the announcement of the 1 year suspension as well. If you want to be friggin naive and not believe that Gordon getting his suspension reduced/ dismissed has nothing to do with the NFL not wanting to leave Manziel without one of his main weapons, then be my guest. This is all about making $$$ off of Manziel. If Manziel doesn't have all of his main weapons, the chances are higher that he'll suck. The NFL (particularly Goodell) WANTS Manziel to become a star & Gordon in the picture elevates Manziels chances for success greatly.

The only usage of Blackmon/ the Jags in this conspiracy theory is that we wind up not getting the same treatment here with our suspended player.
First thing we have to make clear is the fact that he has been arrested once since his drug test and that was a DWI in NC.

Next, you need to understand his failing a drug test and his being arrested are considered to separate incidents.

He is fighting the mandatory suspension for his drug test. There is no wording in the contract that states if a player get arrested following a failed drug test he can no longer appeal the drug test. If the NFL were to combine the two separate incidents it would violate the terms of the CBA and would be considered illegal under labor law in the USA.

He will still have to face up to the consequences of his DWI arrest.

Gordon is being treated fairly by the terms of the CBA. Just because you personally don't like the appeals process outlined by the CBA doesn't mean Goodell is treating Gordon favorably. It means he is treating him the way the law requires. For all you know, Goodell could be hoping that Gordon's appeal fails.

You blaming Goodell just proves that you have absolutely no clue as to what you are talking about.
