Fair point, and I remember seeing early footage of Kaepernick in college where he indeed looked thin....but by the time Kaepernick was to be drafted, he had already bulked up/ filled out. 

 

Granted Bridgewater is still only 20. When I was 20. I was barely 170.

Well, I think the argument hinges more on his durability than play, but yeah his play of late has been inconsistent. There have been claims of him having trouble reading what defenses are trying to do/ confusing him easily. I read somewhere that Harbaugh has tried to simplify the offense down to the half field thing.....not a good sign.
