All kidding aside, the Heisman is more of an MVP trophy than one given to the nation's best player. RGIII is one of the exceptions and he has been good in the NFL. Guys like Toretta, Jason White and Matt Leinart had no business winning.
 

well, by recent NFL history, I indeed was thinking last 25+ years or since Vinny Testaverde won the Heisman (or at least I think he did) ....remember, the NFL has been around since like 1930 or so, so thats the frame of reference I was using by saying "recent NFL history"....
