What Makes You Think Teddy Bridgewater Is The Answer?

I haven't seen enough of him to form a full opinion however he seems very good at finding the open reads and putting it on a platter for them. He also seems to have developed good pocket presence and steps up well and can throw whilst being hit. Added he has shown he can put it almost anywhere on the field and use his legs if he has too.

This seems to be the way things are going in the nfl, the pocket passer doesn't really work unless your manning or brady.

That being said louisville's receiver core is good enough and his opposition poor enough that his reads tend to be wide open for all his big plays. That will not happen in the nfl even with shorts and blackmon he will rarely get blown coverage allowing him to throw deep to a wide open receiver.

I need to see more of his short passing accuracy to throws in tight coverage as that seems to be what we need at our qb position, a guy to zip it in tight to the body so shorts blackmon and sanders can tuck it and take the contact.

All in all from what I have seen I don't think he is the second coming others make him out to be and there is a gap in class between him and luck and even wilson.

Comparing him to rg3, i think he perhaps has as good an arm but worse feet but i don't see much difference between the two as passers which I would certainly take as we will not put him as much on a limb as the skins did, though he can still take off if we need him to.

There is no doubt he has potential, a good arm and good feet.

If we sort the line with rounds 2-5 and take bridgewater in the first, i think it could be a very solid structure for us going forward especially with shorts blackmon and sanders out wide.

I do think if we put him behind the line we have and don't give him a run game (i'm thinking either resign mjd to a small contract if he wants to stay or sign ben tate for next year then draft in 2015 ) he will struggle to make an impact and we will ruin him as we have gabbert.
