I don't think anyone is afraid.  But usually rookies have a larger learning curve.  Remember, it's still preseason, Bortles hasn't even seen a regular season defensive scheme yet.  Give him time.

I think he's referring to the hesitation in some of the fans who still think Bortles isn't 'ready' to play over Henne (which could be misconstrued as a fear of rushing a QB before he's 'ready' i.e. a Gabbert Complex). At this point Bortles has played to where the only next step for development is live action. After last nights showing, I'll be smh if they don't announce him the starter before the eagles game. For the record, I never wanted Bortles to be rushed--he's showing he has it all on his own.
