All of a sudden WR group has serious potential

Quote:Anyone got Allen Hurns 40 time? just curious The old saying for receivers goes, it's not how fast you get to your breaks, it's how fast you get in and out your breaks. Allen Hurns is a guy that creates separation with good route running, and being crisp in and out of his breaks, it's by far the most underrated attribute a receiver does/doesn't possess. Darrius Heyward-Bey has world class speed, but has stones for hands and struggles to crisply get in and out of his breaks, on the flip side, Keenan Allen (San Diego Chargers) ran a 4.71 40, he's an average athlete, but is able to create incredible separation with route running and break crispness. That's why the Jags are so blessed to have a receivers coach like Jerry Sullivan, he teaches the nuances of the position to these receivers, not to say that's not happening with other teams because it surely is, but Sullivan is finding a way to get production out of average talents. |
