I think we'll see Bortles starting before the season is halfway over. They've even said they're going to keep giving him first team reps during the season, it all points to the plan regarding Henne for him to simply be the guy in the game until Fisch and Co think that Bortles is as ready to play as possible.

 

The problem with the Jaguars that I still haven't seen remedied, I know it's just preseason, is the fact that we can't seem to consistently score TD's but instead settle for field goals.

 

If that's the case, we'll be losing quite a bit to start the season.  At which point I don't see why the coaching staff doesn't begin to train BB5 with live bullets.  It really does just seem like a matter of time.  The best thing for this young team is to start with the veteran at the beginning of the season and slowly get Bortles ready by mid season, if not sooner.
