Predict The Rank Of The Wideouts

#6

Quote:Before the season starts, test your prognostication skills. Just predict how the Jaguar Wideouts will rank based on catches and yards. (Yes, I know that can cause a discrepancy in very rare cases) Just say who you think the best will be, and work your way down.

For me:

1. Robinson - Injured now, but will be the best when it's all said and done.

2. Hurns - Guy will make the most of his chances, and will evolve as Jimmy Smith 2.0.

3. Shorts - Will have a good year, but will be allowed to walk following the season.

4. Lee - Will have a good, but underwhelming year.

5. Sanders - Has a decent year, but pays the price for the hippie lettuce.

After that, Who cares. Special teams guys who may or may not be active every week, and will be lucky to hit double digit catches and triple digit yards for the year

That's me and how I see it today. It's the fun part of waiting for the year to start.

So Lee as a rookie will have a good year but somehow be underwhelming at the same time?

Kinda seems contradictory. A good year for rookie wide receivers is kind of rare.

Idk.

This year for me its gonna be:

Shorts - the most experienced, knows the offense, proven production, extremely versatile.

Lee - once he gets up to speed knows how to get separation and has a great penchant for getting to the ball. Given time, this guy is going to be our version of Reggie Wayne.

Robinson - if this was next year I don't think he'd be far behind Lee, but he has missed a lot of time and needs to learn the pro game. Nice red zone target for now.

Hurns - we know the hurns story. Not special in any single trait except just getting open. He looks more polished now because he already knows fisch's system. When the other receivers become as acclimated, hurns slides down to 4.

Sanders - shifty slot guy that works all routes and has excellent acceleration to work in short areas. Can get the deep pass but not often. Boom or bust type player and size puts him behind hurns.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
