I used to work with a lady down in Jacksonville who was late 30's (38 or 39) and was a grandmother.  She was single.  As was her daughter who was living with her and the baby.  And I remember her telling me of an upcoming family reunion where they'd have 5 generations attending.  Her grandmother would be there who had just turned 80 a year or two prior.  She was extremely proud of this too.  The whole story was peculiar.  And I had visions of tax dollars going down the toilet.
