I don't subscribe so I'm not able to ensure this was the same article Hicken was referencing this morning, but if it is... Gus ranks as the 19th best coach.

 

I think that's pretty fair based on the record, and speaks well of a one year coach.  Pretty respectable given an extremely short track record with a team that's still a work in progress.

 

So, I'd say the USA Today writer lives in some alternate universe.

 

Taking a team that was destined by most to go 0-16 and then have that team show major signs of improvement to go 4-4 after the bye(albeit against a weaker 2nd half schedule) was something I was very happy with last year.  I'm sure alot of folks in the analysis business noticed that.

 

I mean, it looked like we were by far the worst team in the league at the mid-point of the season.  Bradley definitely righted the ship.  He should absolutely get credit for that.

 

With that said, he's totally on the hot seat.  LOL
