When I was in high school we had a caravan of vehicles going down there to play a baseball game at Gainesville Buchholz HS.  We were in the team bus, and the parents were riding down with us.  We almost got to the bend in Waldo when a local cop waved the entire caravan over and ticketed every vehicle for going 3 over the speed limit.  We were late for the start of the game, but the ump actually cut us some slack and had a good laugh when the parents started breaking out their tickets.  Needless to say, the caravan was extra careful heading home.
