I'm simply saying the the risk/reward of taking a flier is well worth it. The likelihood of the best WR coach in football making a 2nd round draft pick WR relevant is greater than a 7th round pick becoming relevant.

Why even bring up Jimmy Smith in the first place?

 

Hill and Smith are two completely different scenarios.  One guy has played two FULL seasons of football and has shown that he can't catch a lick. 

 

The other suffered a broken leg, and an emergency appendectomy and was a street free agent. 

 

Remember that time when we took a flier on Troy Williamson?  Fast as hell, but couldn't catch a beach ball. 

 

Don't bring Jimmy Smith into the argument if you don't want it thrown back in your face.
