I think it's equally stupid to say that the only reason the Eagles cut Smith was because of a drug problem.

 

Despite A, B, C, and D, Coughlin took a flier on Smith and it paid dividends.

I didn't say he got cut due to a drug problem. A scout who worked for the organization and was privy to the decision process that led to Smith being cut, says a drug problem was why he got cut.

 

882 receptions and multiple drug arrests later makes the scout's claim of a drug issue a much more credible reason than TMD claiming Kotite said he had "bad hands" for which there is zero evidence corroborating that statement.
