I hope Caldwell talked to team doctors before making the decisions for some of those players. From what people were saying in a thread about wide receivers, Doss isn't hurt that bad.

They just recently changed the rules about 2-3 years ago. It used to be if a player was placed on IR, they were done for the year. Now, they changed it to a player can be activated after week 8. It also has roster spot implications. I think it has more to do with Caldwell knowing how to bend the rules to hold onto an extra guy without cutting players.
