Which Qb Do The Fans Want?
|
Quote:I saw many ugly games out of Elway until the Broncos got Terrell Davis. The Broncos wanted to suck for Luck and Tebow foiled their plans. Elway couldn't wait to get rid of him because he reminded him of a younger version of himself. Since couldn't get Luck, he got Peyton Manning. With the money he used on him, he could have fixed their Defense and gotten a new receiving corps. Tebow problem was he was used to playing with good receivers. So he could throw the ball so only the receiver could catch it: Hernandez, Harvin. You can't do that with garbage receivers. Garbage receivers is the reason why Marino never won the Super Bowl. I just have to say that the bolded portion is just not true. Elway may not have won a superbowl untill Terrel Davis came along, but Elway was a winner before with RB's like Sammy Sewel. Remember he made it to superbowls before he won back to backs... I think he made it to 2 or 3 in the 80's and early 90's before winning the 2. Also, Elway's game is completely different than andrew lucks, especially when Elway was in his prime. Elways arm is much stronger. Elway was much lighter and when he scrambled he ran with finesse, he was quicker on his feet than Luck looks to be. Luck is heavier, thicker even, and runs more with power. Also, Luck doesn't seem to have the creativity that Elway had. When Elway left the pocket he was always looking down the field for big plays, often times throwing clear across the field from one sideline to the next. The dude had a rocket arm. Seriously, I think he could get more velocity on his throws than even Marino. Marino had a strong arm, his release was much quicker. Elway was just pure heat. I don't see that in Luck. Luck has a good arm, but it's nothing compared to what Elway could do. Sorry, this isn't meant to hijack the thread... Back on topic... T-no is still not good. |
