I remember they put their entire front 7 on the line of scrimmage with us in a spread formation.

 

The formation alone left Henne with no option but to hope one of the rookie receivers ran a proper hot route. They didn't. Sack.

 

The play calling needed to counter the blitz. It was foolish to think all these inexperienced players would make the correct adjustments to counter the blitz on their own.

 

Inflexible play calling. I think that is what Washington noticed from the second half of the eagles game. The jags would stick to the same play calling regardless of the looks the defense gave them.
