Same goes for concerts. No standing, everyone can enjoy the music sitting down. Must make everyone happy. Cannot discriminate. 

 

Actually standing releases nervous energy. You also cant yell as loud when sitting. Players also know when the fans are standing screaming for them. .

 

Its a football game. There will be standing. Rather sit? Theres the opera. Club seats. The bigger than life screens. The couch. Or a rule stating standing only during pivotal points in the game.

Nervous energy? You need meds! lol

 

I agree there are situations where the CROWD is on their feet due to situations. The 0-9 game against Pittsburgh..what seems like forever ago...the ENTIRE stadium was amped for the second half, night game, Steelers, they didn't get on the other side of the 50 the whole night. It was incredible. I bet there weren't a lot of standing complaints that game. However, when you are getting waxed in a preseason home game and can't see whatever is going on because some people are indignant about their "right" to stand. That's horse poo.
